Environment, Facilities and Grounds

Mary Boutros
Safe and Well Operations Leader
Our school continues to prioritise the safety, functionality and improvement of our learning environments through ongoing infrastructure and maintenance works across the site.
Over the March and April period, a total of 71 maintenance jobs were completed, supporting the upkeep and safety of our facilities. In addition, some contingency funding remains available to support future playground and infrastructure improvement projects, pending formal planning and approvals.
Several priority capital works projects have been identified for future consideration, including:
West yard resurfacing and pathway improvements near the Bamburgh St Secondary Gate
The school has now received the official Building Condition Assessment report from the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) and will create a plan to rectify these.
We are pleased to share that we will have a formal Playground Opening Ceremony soon to celebrate our No. 2 Project Upgrade. I have attached some before and after pictures for you to see.
The school’s annual asset stocktake is also currently underway and remains a priority area for completion.
During the Curriculum Day on 29 May 2026, several important compliance audits and maintenance activities are scheduled, including:
Routine maintenance works
The Infrastructure Committee continues to work closely with leadership, contractors, and the Department to ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and supportive of student learning and wellbeing.
