Getting Messy with Oobleck!

Last week, our Junior students had a fantastic time exploring the fascinating properties of liquids by making their own colourful batches of Oobleck. After learning how to mix the ingredients and observing a demonstration, students selected their favourite colours and created their own Oobleck to investigate.

The most exciting part was experimenting with how Oobleck reacts to different types of force. Students discovered that it behaves like a solid when squeezed or tapped, but flows like a liquid when held gently. There was plenty of excitement, curiosity and laughter as students tested, explored and shared their observations. It was a wonderful hands-on science activity that encouraged questioning, predicting and discovering through play.
