Sizzling Story Starters
The Seniors have been working on creating sizzling starters for their narratives, focusing on improving their writing by adding more description and beginning with onomatopoeia, dialogue, action or thought. The Millgrove Seniors have chosen their favourite attention-grabbing starters to share.
“l time travelled into 1914 and l stopped the war,” l said.

“Mum, I have your coffee,” I said while holding her coffee.
“Thank you, Jasmine,” Mum said.

“Hello,” said the tiger.
Will said, “What’s your name, Tiger?
“My name is Chloe,” said the tiger.
All of a sudden, the tiger bit Will. Will had to go to the hospital.

The hammer head shark swam into the pool with the little girl.
