Wellbeing and Inclusion

Winter Supports
As the cooler and wetter weather arrives, we know that winter can place extra pressure on family budgets. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, assistance with uniforms, food, or other essentials, please contact Sharon Cartledge, our Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader. Conversations are confidential, and we can help connect you with appropriate support services and community resources.
We also encourage families to ensure children have warm school clothing and rain-appropriate gear for outdoor play and travel to and from school. Unless it is raining, students will spend time outside and the Lucas wind is usually very cold, so jumpers, coats and long pants are best. Our uniform provider is PSW located in Howitt Street, Wendouree.
Our school is committed to supporting every child to attend, participate, and thrive throughout the winter months. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if we can help in any way.
A Pocket Full of Hope, has been developed to provide support, information, and connections for families in the Ballarat community. Over the next couple of Newsletters, we will highlight resources from A Pocket Full of Hope that may provide valuable support, information, and connections for families in our Lucas Community.
