Instruckta Truck 

This week, our students had the opportunity to participate in the Instruckta Truck experience, an innovative mobile training facility that brings industry-standard equipment and practical learning directly to schools.

Throughout the day, students explored a range of hands-on activities, gaining valuable insight into modern agricultural and trade technologies while developing practical skills in a real-world learning environment.

The experience provided an excellent opportunity for students to engage with industry professionals, learn about various career pathways, and build confidence using the latest equipment.

We thank the Instruckta team for visiting the College and providing such an engaging and worthwhile learning experience for our students.

Youth Leadership Summit – Expressions of Interest Open

Expressions of Interest are now open for students interested in attending the Youth Leadership Summit.

Delivered by the Greater Bunbury Region Youth Development Network, the Summit aims to inspire and equip young people with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to become positive leaders within their schools, communities, and future workplaces.

Students will participate in activities focused on leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, and teamwork while connecting with other young leaders from across the region.

Vaping: A Conversation Worth Having

Vaping continues to be a growing concern in schools across the country and is an issue we are proactively addressing through education, wellbeing support, and clear expectations.

While vaping is often portrayed as harmless, the reality is quite different. Many vaping products contain high levels of nicotine, which is highly addictive and can negatively impact concentration, mood, learning, and adolescent brain development.

Parents and caregivers play a critical role in helping young people make informed choices. Taking the opportunity to have open and honest conversations at home about the risks associated with vaping can make a significant difference.

By working together, we can support our young people to make healthy decisions and create a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

Did You Know? 

Many disposable vapes contain nicotine levels equivalent to up to 50 cigarettes. Because vaping products are often flavoured and packaged to appear appealing, many young people are unaware of just how much nicotine they may be consuming.

What may seem like "just vaping" can quickly lead to nicotine dependence and have lasting impacts on health and wellbeing.

Nicotine exposure during adolescence can affect brain development, particularly the areas responsible for attention, learning, memory, and impulse control. It can also increase the risk of addiction and make it more difficult for young people to concentrate and regulate their emotions.

Uniform Expectations

Thank you to all families for your continued support of the College's uniform policy. As part of our ongoing commitment to consistency across the College, we have recently realigned our uniform expectations to ensure the same standards apply across all learning areas, including classrooms, the farm, trades, and boarding.

To support families with this transition, the new consequences for uniform non-compliance will commence on Monday, 17 August 2026. This allows students time to purchase any required uniform items, particularly as boarders will have the opportunity to address these requirements during the upcoming closed weekend at home.

From this date, students who attend the College in incorrect footwear or wearing heavily soiled or grease-stained jumpers will receive a Loss of Good Standing.

For minor uniform breaches, such as incorrect jewellery, students will be asked to remove the item, and the incident will be recorded. After three recorded uniform breaches, a student will receive a Loss of Good Standing. Further breaches may result in additional time being added to the Loss of Good Standing period.

We appreciate the ongoing support of our families in ensuring students attend the College dressed safely, appropriately, and in accordance with College uniform expectations. A consistent approach helps promote safety, professionalism, and pride across our College community.
