Careers Expo Year 11/12 VCE General
The 2024 Careers Expo for our year 11/12 VCE General will be taking place on May the 3rd at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Students will visit Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre to gain knowledge on careers pathways. Students will gain information on Universities, TAFE, GAP Year programs and the workforce. Students will also have the opportunity to attend seminars and gain support in Youth programs and services.
A reminder that students will catch the train into the city to meet outside the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre at the Polly Woodside Park (out the front of the ship). Students must meet here by 11:15am to be marked off the roll and collect tickets, then enter the event. Students will be signed out by staff at the end of the event at 3pm and dismissed from the venue at 3:10pm. They will need to organise their own way home from there.
Year 11 SuperStars
During term 1 we had 3 Year 11 SuperStars who were recognised throughout the term. The students showed outstanding effort accompanied with great results across all their classes. Prisa achieved the top verification test result in the beginning of the term. Stephen and Minuka were the top performing student after each set of progress reports this term.
Term 1 Celebration Assembly
There were some great achievements celebrated by the cohort at our End of Term 1 Celebration Assembly. We were able to run our termly attendance lunch provided to over 60 students who attended 100% of their classes this year.
We were also able to celebrate the students with the top GPA in the cohort and our year 11 students with the top RGAR points for their house groups. Congratulations to all those students who received awards. We are looking forward to all the future achievements that will occur with our year 11 cohort in term 2!

Wow! Congratulations to all our VCE-VM and VPC students on your outstanding hard work and perseverance this term! It's been an incredible journey, with this term marking a significant leap from year 10. We couldn't be more thrilled with the dedication and effort you have shown.
This term, we had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Career Expo at Melbourne Show Grounds, where we gathered invaluable information to support your future endeavours. As a final reminder, for students who haven't yet secured their work placements, I encourage you to utilise the upcoming holidays to explore and secure opportunities!
Term 2 will be a busy Term as we finalise semester 1 results and encourage all students to continue working at their best and meeting submission deadlines.
Finally, we look forwarding to acknowledging successful outcomes on the first week back of next term. We will be coming together for our eagerly awaited celebration assembly. Get ready to bask in the glow of your accomplishments and celebrate your successes as a cohort!
Year 12 VCE/ VCE-VM News
As Term One draws to a close, we would like to thank all of our school community for the work they do to help our students feel happy, engaged and make great progress at school. The staff in Senior School go above and beyond to ensure our students are supported and challenged in their learning.
We would also like to congratulate the students on their hard work and dedication they have shown this term.
