Year 1 and 2 Junior Musicianship Club

Commencing Monday afternoons 2 March | 3:15 to 4:00pm | Junior Music Classroom

This free class, based on the Kodály approach and aligned with the Australian Curriculum, offers Year 1 and 2 students a structured and creative way to develop their musicianship skills. Through singing, movement, improvisation, and instrumental techniques, students will deepen their understanding of music in an engaging and age-appropriate setting.

At the end of each term, families will be invited to an open lesson to share in their child’s learning journey.

Musical - Tickets Close at 9:00pm Tonight!

As Producer of the Clayfield College Musical 2026, it has been exciting to watch our Year 5 to 10 students tumble down the rabbit hole and bring the imaginative world of Alice in Wonderland JR to life. This production celebrates curiosity, courage and creativity - qualities at the heart of both the story and a strong arts education. Through rehearsal and performance, students have developed confidence, collaboration, discipline and empathy, reinforcing the vital role the arts play in shaping well-rounded young people. My sincere thanks go to our Director, Kristen Barros, for her clear vision and inspiring leadership, and to our Choreographer, Jessica French, whose dynamic work has infused the show with energy and precision. I also extend my deep gratitude to the Creative Arts staff who have so generously volunteered their time and expertise, and to the Senior Leadership Team for their ongoing support of the performing arts, ensuring opportunities like this continue to flourish at Clayfield College.

Please mark your calendars for the Clayfield College Musical, taking place this Friday 6 March and Saturday 7 March. This production showcases the incredible talent and commitment of our students and staff, and we look forward to sharing it with our community.

But before you hop, skip or tumble down the rabbit hole into our Alice in Wonderland musical, pop into the Foundation Courtyard for a wonderfully curious P&F Pre-Event.

Expect a little touch of mischief and a whole lot of Wonderland charm. The bar will be serving the magical Mad Hatter’s Blue Brew, along with bubbles, wine, beer and soft drinks for every thirsty traveller. There will be delicious cheese boxes for the grown-ups and tasty treats for our smaller adventurers, tempting enough for the Cheshire Cat to appear.

Come early and start your journey with a topsy turvy taste of Wonderland before the show begins. We hope to see you there for a wonderfully mad time.
