From the first race to the final relay, our swimmers delivered a performance defined by courage, commitment and team spirit. For some athletes, the championships were the culmination of year-round training, while for others it was their moment to step forward and answer the call to represent their college. Regardless of experience, every swimmer played a role in what was a spirited and determined campaign for Team Clayfield. But the energy wasn’t confined to the pool.

The Clayfield grandstand erupted in green, gold and blue, with students, families and staff creating an atmosphere that lifted the entire team. Pom-poms waved, voices roared, and the Croc Squad rallied behind every start, every turn and every finish. The noise, pride and unity transformed the venue into a wall of Clayfield spirit and reminded everyone that this was more than a championship, it was a celebration of community.

These performances highlight the depth of determination within the QGSSSA Swimming program, with athletes stepping up across individual and relay events.

The QGSSSA Swimming Championships represent the first major championship event of the school sporting calendar, and Team Clayfield arrived ready to embrace the moment. The courage shown on the blocks, the pride worn in the cap, and the support shown in the stands demonstrated exactly what it means to represent Clayfield College.

This campaign was about more than results. It was about swimmers stepping forward for their team, embracing the challenge of championship racing, and proudly carrying the Clayfield colours.

The championships highlighted the determination of the swimmers who answered the call to represent Clayfield. Our focus now turns to continuing to strengthen the program and supporting our athletes as they develop within the green, gold and blue.

A special mention must go to our 8 Years and Under boys, who competed in their first Britton Shield competition. Their enthusiasm, sportsmanship and support for one another were wonderful to see, and their efforts were rewarded with a first-place finish in their age group which is a fantastic achievement.
