🛌🏻Cebula Boarding

Boarding News
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Cebula Boarding 2026! It has been a wonderfully positive and energetic start to the year in the Cebula Boarding community. I’m delighted to share just how well the boys have settled into boarding life over the first week, especially those boarding for the first time. While the opening days of any new year are always busy, the sense of enthusiasm, connection and routine across the house has been very pleasing.
Eight boys are currently residing off campus, short-term, in Paula House, a family residence on Lesmurdie Road owned by St Brigid’s College while the Wilson refurbishment is completed, and they've settled in exceptionally well. They are enjoying the off-campus experience and have adapted smoothly to the temporary arrangement, with close staff support.
It was great to see so many parents and guardians at our Boarding Parents’ Sundowner. Thank you for taking the time to attend - your presence and support mean a great deal and help strengthen the sense of community that underpins boarding at Cebula.
Our Year 7s have been immersed in their transition program, becoming familiar with all aspects of College life. They also tackled their swimming trials ahead of the House Swimming Carnival, which brought plenty of excitement and for some, a little nervousness. The transition week has been exceptionally well supported by our Year 13 program and the leadership shown by our Year 12 students, which has made a noticeable difference. For students in all other year levels, the first weeks have involved meeting teachers, reconnecting with peers and beginning work across their various subjects as routines take shape.
As part of our Cebula Connection Weekend, the Welcome Pool Party and Dinner were very well attended, the warm weather made the pool a particularly welcome place to be. The boys also had a great day at Outback Splash last Saturday, enjoying the slides, pools, maze and mini golf. This weekend, they will spend Saturday at Adventure World, further cementing ties with old friends and making new friendships with the 25 boys new to boarding this year.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support as we begin the year together. We look forward to sharing more highlights with you in the weeks ahead.
