Heading for the Finish Line!
Here we are in Week 4 of our final term together!
We want to share some of what we did in the last part of Term 3 as well as what we are up to now as we steam towards the end of the year.
Last term we made some 'Array Cities' as part of our learning about multiplication.

We explored fractions. Some of our fun learning activities included making 'Fraction Cupcakes' and identifying the fraction of the cake decorated with particular sprinkles.

We also used real sprinkles to decorate some fairy bread and identify the fraction of the bread that each colour covered.

We are currently learning to recognise and read the time on analogue clocks. We are also learning to understand digital clocks.

This term, we are focusing on Narratives. We began this unit of work by studying the well-known Australian picture story book "Possum Magic" by Mem Fox. We looked at the structure of this narrative, we explored some of its vocabulary, identified the 'inside traits' of the characters and began to use inferential comprehension skills.
We also just plain enjoyed the story together!
