SJV HOUSE SPORTS DAY
St John Vianney's Catholic Primary School
Our 2026 SJV House Sports Day was a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and school spirit at the Springvale Little Athletics track! Despite the very hot and windy weather, our students showed wonderful determination, sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the day.
There were some outstanding individual performances, with five new school records set! Congratulations to Zacharia for setting a new record in the Year 6 girls’ shot put, Noah W for breaking records in the Year 5 boys’ long jump and 200m sprint, and Mason Ph for setting new records in the Year 4 boys’ discus and 200m sprint. What an incredible achievement in very tough conditions!
A special congratulations also goes to Nyapaar and Nicholas K, who won the Year 6 400m championship races.
After a full day of sprints, jumps, throws and plenty of house rivalry, the final results were in:
🏆1st – Gold House
2nd – Green House
3rd – Red House
4th – Blue House
Congratulations to Gold House on taking out the 2026 title! The competition was fierce, and every student should be proud of the effort, determination and team spirit shown for their House.
A huge thank you to our amazing staff for their hard work and support in making the day such a success, and to our wonderful parent volunteers who generously gave their time to help out. We are also incredibly proud of all our students for their efforts, encouragement of one another and resilience in challenging weather conditions.
Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped make SJV House Sports Day 2026 such a memorable event. What a great day to celebrate our school community and sporting spirit!
