Music 

This year we had almost 100 Year 7 students sign up for Instrumental Music lessons, which is fantastic. Students have been allocated a trial lesson on one of their 3 instrument preferences, and these will take place over the next week. Some students have been allocated for two trial lessons depending on which instruments they have chosen. Unfortunately, we don't have space to give everyone a trial on their first-choice instrument and understand that this may mean some students would prefer not to participate in the program.

Once all trials have been completed, students will be allocated to the instrument best suited to them and lessons will be scheduled on Compass. Students who have been selected for Strings, Woodwind or Brass instruments will be given an instrument hire form to be completed and will require a $100 deposit to be paid before their instrument can be taken home to practise on. All students will require permission to attend lessons, and this can be done by providing consent to the event on Compass once it has been published (after instrument allocations have been completed).
