Annual Privacy Reminder for our School Community

Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ Privacy Policy and the Schools’ Privacy Collection Notice.

Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy PhotographingFilmingRecordingStudents.Policy.2024.pdf, describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.

We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use Microsoft 365 via our Digital-learning-policy-LSC-2024-2026.pdf safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using Microsoft 365, please contact the school.

Year 10 students

Meningococcal vaccine

Local councils deliver the program, and schools provide student and family information to the council, this enables families to register with Vaxapp, our online immunisation registration program, and provide consent

The Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019 authorise schools to release parent and student information to local councils enabling councils can follow up with parents after consent has been requested.

This means that we will provide the City of Whittlesea with your contact details and a member of their Immunisation team may contact you if they have not received notification of consent or non-consent for immunisations for your child. Council WILL NOT contact you if you have provided a NO consent unless they require verification. If you do not wish for your details to be provided to the City of Whittlesea, please advise me in writing to the email below before close of business 28 February 2025.

If you cannot contact me by the above date you will need to contact the Immunisation Administration Programs Supervisor at the City of Whittlesea on 9217 2170 if you have queries about your contact details.

Immunisation is an important public health initiative. It protects individuals and communities from preventable diseases. All Victorian secondary students can receive these vaccines for free through the school-based program.
