WPS Community Children’s Garden

Lots of rain and lots of sunshine (sometimes both together), means lots of plant growth – including the weeds! The 30 students who came to garden club did a wonderful job of clearing the weeds from between our berry bushes (currants, gooseberries and blue berries).

Moist conditions and warmth are perfect for carrots. We studied the tiny insect-look-a-like carrot seeds before spinking them on the flattened soil. We’re looking forward to harvesting all the different coloured carrots next year.
