Term 4 is passing quickly with just over 5 weeks remaining, it is a busy time of year for all. On Monday our teaching staff utilised the curriculum day to work on Semester 2 reports for their students. We are also continuing to work on class placements for 2026, this is a complex process where we consider many elements to ensure the best possible fit for all students and staff.
The class structure for 2026 is as follows:
Foundation – 2 classes
Year 1/2 – 4 classes
Year 3 – 3 classes
Year 4 – 3 classes
Year 5/6 – 4 classes
Teaching staff will not be announced until our whole school transition session on Tuesday 9th December.
Last Wednesday night we welcomed a large number of our Year 3 parents out to Carlsruhe for our transition evening. Parents were given the opportunity to explore the campus and learn more about the learning program for Year 4’s. This night would not have been possible without the support of our staff, Ms Ashleigh Dodds, Mrs Lisa Sutch, Ms Alison Meggs, Mrs Louise Safstrom, Mr Condon, Mr Spilsted and Mrs Sue Turner. We were also joined by representatives from the Allanah and Madeline ESmart Foundation and JB HiFi, to provide information on device use in our Year 4 unit.
On Friday we also welcomed a visit from one of our local Early Learning Centres who brought the kinder students in to visit the school to support the students with their transition to primary school in 2026. These opportunities would not be possible without the connections we make with Kinder services across the Macedon Ranges and beyond. Ms Bree Smith in her role as our Foundation transition leader, works hard to ensure that communication and connections are made throughout the year to ensure the transition process is as smooth as possible. We will be hosting four Foundation transition sessions before the end of this term. The first one is on Tuesday 18th November, we look forward to welcoming our new students and giving them the opportunity to connect with our school and community.
Next week our Year 5 students begin their Senior School Leadership journey with student leadership speeches taking place on Wednesday. This opportunity provides the students with a chance to share with their peers why they think they would make a great school leader in 2026. The Year 5/6 teachers have been working with students over the last few weeks to develop their understanding of leadership and to write applications for potential leadership positions. On the same day our Year 6 students will be attending a Q&A session with our network of schools, to help support them with their move into secondary school.
House T-Shirts
Thanks to all who have ordered House T-Shirts. We are all very excited about this new optional item of our uniform. We have received an influx of orders, please note that the first round of orders closes today via QKR. We will be placing another order early next year, with delivery scheduled for the end of Term 1. Please see further information later in this newsletter.
Foundation Music Performance
On Monday morning Mr Bromley is hosting the first of three end of year performances, with this one being for our Foundation students and families. The performance will run from 9.15am-10.00am and will be held in the hall. We hope Foundation families are able to attend and enjoy sharing in their child’s musical journey.
Please note that the Year 1-3 Performance will be held at 5.15pm on Wednesday 19th November, it is planned to take place on the netball court at the front of the school, weather permitting. If the weather isn’t kind we may have to move it to the hall.
PFA Cake Stall
Don’t forget to come along and support our PFA Cake stall on Monday afternoon outside the canteen after school. The PFA run these fundraising events to help support the school to raise funds for additional resources to support our students. One of our future projects for 2026 is to install a roof on our current bike storage area. This is a request directly from our students. The support our families provide, whether it is via volunteering or contributing financial support via these fundraisers, is always appreciated.
Parent Payment Information 2026
