Shine Festival
What a wonderful week celebrating the arts at Tally! Throughout the week, our students proudly showcased their talents and growth in dance, choir, rock band, strings ensemble, and concert band performances. It was fantastic to see so many families and supporters enjoying the live performances and cheering on our students.
A big thank you to our dedicated teachers, Miss Lanham, Mr Fox, Mr Gordon, Mrs Wild, Mrs Olson, Miss McLean, and Mrs Hapi, for all of the time and effort they put into preparing our students.
We are incredibly proud of the confidence, creativity, and progress our students continue to show in the arts at Tally.
Fanfare
Thursday, 21st of May, the Tallebudgera Starlight Strings ensemble, Staccato Strings Ensemble, and Senior concert band performed at the 2026 Fanfare Festival held at Currumbin State School. This event showcases the teaching, learning and talent of students from around the local area as ensembles from schools in the district perform in front of a live audience and are adjudicated on their performance.
Miss Lanham and Mr Fox would like to extend a big thank you to all the students and parents for a successful day at Fanfare. Our Tally students performed beautifully on the day in front of a big crowd and were able to earn 1 gold certificate award, and 2 silver certificate awards for our performances. The students should be very proud of this achievement. Their hard work and practice are paying off, and the ensembles are sounding better every week. The teaching staff are now underway preparing the ensembles for Eisteddfod performances in Term 3.
Finally, a big thank you to Miss Lanham and Mr Fox for their dedication and care of our students as they continue to grow as young musicians.
