Brobo saw: Operated a Brobo saw to accurately cut metal to required lengths and angles, including 35x20mm square tubing at 900mm with 45-degree cuts. Ensured measurements were precise and materials met production specifications while following safe operating procedures
Steel punch: Operated a steel punch machine to punch circular holes into long metal strips at set measurements before using the opposite side of the machine to cut the strips into evenly sized square sections. Maintained consistency and accuracy across repeated production runs.
Spear head punch: Used a spear head punch machine on 25x25mm square tubing where the machine first flattened the tube end before punching out a spear-head shape. Ensured correct positioning and alignment to maintain quality and consistency of finished products.
Metal bender: Operated a metal bender to bend 3mm plate steel (50x25) and 2mm round bar to precise 90-degree angles, including fully folding material back onto itself when required. Worked carefully to maintain accurate bends and avoid material distortion.
Grinding bench: Used a grinding bench to round off corners, deburr sharp edges, and grind aluminium fencing tops to fit within the tolerances of 9mm uprights. Maintained attention to detail to ensure parts were safe, clean, and met fitting requirements.
Whip down uprights and beams: Regularly handled and inspected large quantities of 9mm uprights in a wide range of sizes, including batches of up to 700 pieces. Cleaned materials with a cloth, checked for dents or damage, and stacked them onto stillages for storage or dispatch. Also handled heavy 4-metre beams up to 3mm thick, requiring safe manual handling and teamwork.
Organise metal: Assisted in reorganising a large shipment of metal after it had fallen over in storage. Worked alongside a co-worker to sort and restack materials by QR code number sequence (e.g. 13728 before 13729) to maintain stock accuracy and improve accessibility for production. This required attention to detail, organisation skills, and safe handling of heavy materials.
unpack aluminum square tubing fresh from shipment: We have a worker who almost exclusively cuts aluminium square we have to keep him stocked up so we often have to unpack massive loads of aluminum that has been packed and sent to us so I have with one other of my co workers and grab a box cutter and cut off all the packing clearance and take the aluminum off the metal horse and onto Jared's work space
