YEAR 11
Leading The Way

Head of Year 11
In Week 2, our Year 11 cohort participated in their Leadership Day, an important milestone in their senior journey. I was very pleased with the level of engagement shown by students throughout the day. It was particularly rewarding to observe them working collaboratively across a range of activities, demonstrating initiative, respect, and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones.
A highlight of the day was the Leadership Q&A Panel, which featured Bishop Joe Caddy alongside other respected leaders from our College community. Students had the opportunity to hear firsthand insights and practical advice on leadership, service, and personal growth.
Thank you to our guest speakers for their time, wisdom, and generosity in sharing their experiences. I also acknowledge our Year 11 students for the way they represented themselves and the College.
At the conclusion of our Leadership Day, students were reminded that all senior students are leaders in their own right, regardless of whether they hold a formal title. The expectations for senior students as role models within our community will remain a focus throughout the year.
The process for formal student leadership positions for 2027 will commence later this term, with further information to be shared with students in the coming weeks. There will also be a range of opportunities for students interested in developing their leadership skills, including information sessions and workshops designed to support their growth in this area.

Please note that all key dates are listed in the College Calendar. This can be accessed via the MyCE Parent App and synced with your personal calendar.
