Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Strategic Plan calls for the consistent use of high-impact teaching strategies across the College. These include clear learning goals, explicit teaching, opportunities for collaboration, feedback, and deliberate practice over time.
This term, teachers are focusing on integrating these high-impact strategies intentionally, rather than by accident. In class, you may notice more explicit modelling of thinking, structured group work, and regular check-ins where students explain their understanding. These are not “extras”; they are the core of how we improve learning.
We are committed to ensuring that every teacher, in every classroom, uses strategies that research - and our own data - show make the greatest difference.
