YEAR 8 KEY INFORMATION: WEEK 3
Year 8 Camp
During the extended Pastoral Group in Week s, students confirmed their tent arrangement for camp. A reminder that all tents must be dropped off at the Nazareth Pavilion before 8:30 am on Monday, 11th May (Week 4). The College will transport tents to the Reef Fleet Terminal on the day of departure, and tents will be available for collection at the end of camp from the Reef Fleet Terminal.
Extracurricular Involvement
It has been great to see our Year 8s engaging in the whole life of the College, with high participation in extracurricular activities this year. Congratulations to all students who competed in the TCS Cross Country on 28th April. Year 8 participation was a standout. We’ve also had students trialling for the College All-School Touch Football Team, the Junior Girls Netball Trials, the Readers Cup, and Year 8s involved in the SHEP ensemble program from 1st to 3rd May and the JCU Math competition on 6th May. Keep up the great work, Year 8s!
Punctuality to Pastoral Group
Pastoral Group starts at 8:30am each morning and is a critical time to set your child up for success during the day. Students organise their books and diaries, receive important information from the notices, and have the opportunity to connect positively with their peers and Pastoral Mentor. Punctuality to Pastoral Group is very important, and we appreciate your support in ensuring your child arrives to the College on time. If your child will be late, please advise our office via the MyCE parent app, or by sending an email to smw.office@cns.catholic.edu.au.
