Grace Huxley-Hambly Receives Top Honour at Angelico Arts Exhibition
We are delighted to celebrate Year 12 Visual Art student Grace Huxley-Hambly, who received the top honour at the Angelico Arts Exhibition, winning the Fra Angelico Award for her artwork Komorebi.
The Angelico Arts Exhibition showcases hundreds of artworks from students across Catholic schools throughout Western Australia, making this an exceptional achievement for Grace.
The Fra Angelico Award recognises an artwork that embraces and upholds Catholic beliefs and values. Grace’s deeply personal work, Komorebi, explores themes of nature, memory, peace, hope and finding light through difficult experiences.
Congratulations to Grace on this wonderful recognition of her creativity, artistic skill and thoughtful expression.

Komorebi — a Japanese word meaning sunlight leaking through trees, casting dancing shadows on the forest floor.
This resonates deeply with my time growing up and my connection to nature, admiring the little aspects of life; memories, peace and sunlight leaking through trees. As a child, having this sense of wonder in nature gave me peace and something I could always turn to. This connection made it easier to look beyond the troubles of my past and the trauma in the shadows, and instead turn towards the sunlight.
Motocross Success!
Congratulations to Nate Lees (Year 3) on his outstanding achievement at the Bunbury Motocross State Championships held on Saturday, 8 August.
Competing against some of the State's best young riders, Nate delivered an exceptional performance, claiming 1st place in both the 50cc and 60cc divisions. His outstanding results earned him the prestigious title of State Champion in both categories.
This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to Nate's dedication, skill and hard work both on and off the track. We are incredibly proud of his success.
