David Attenborough Day

Junior School Celebrate Sir David Attenborough turning 100!
The Junior School had a fantastic time celebrating our whole-school David Attenborough Day in honour of his 100th birthday! Students came dressed as a wide range of amazing animals or explorers and enjoyed a day full of hands-on activities, documentaries, crafts and nature exploration.
One of the highlights of the day was a hilarious skit performed by Miss Whittington and Mrs Fox, where ‘David Attenborough’ discovered a koala at Scoresby Primary School and taught students lots of interesting facts about koalas along the way!
Throughout the day, students created koala crafts, decorated biscuits, completed animal-themed writing activities and enjoyed watching documentaries about wildlife and David Attenborough’s life. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity about the natural world as we celebrated the life and work of such an inspiring conservationist!
Senior School Celebrate Sir David Attenborough turning 100!
On David Attenborough Day, our senior students spent the day exploring the incredible work of renowned naturalist and broadcaster David Attenborough.
Students watched sections of a documentary to learn about the importance of protecting our environment and the amazing diversity of wildlife around the world.
They then completed a writing task inspired by the themes of conservation and nature. As part of the day’s creative activities, students also participated in a “Frog in a Pond” task and created beautiful collages inspired by the natural world. It was a fantastic day of learning, creativity, and environmental awareness.
