Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart Community,
Prayer
Loving God,
We thank you for the holiday break
and the time spent with those we love.
As we begin this new term,
help our children to grow in confidence,
kindness and curiosity.
Guide our teachers as they support each
child’s learning journey,
and bless our school community
with patience, understanding and joy.
May this term be filled with learning, friendship and peace.
Amen.
Welcome Back to Term 2
We warmly welcome all of our families back to Term 2. We hope you enjoyed a restful break and some special time together. It’s been wonderful to see the children return so happy, enthusiastic and ready for a new term of learning and growth.
On Monday, our staff participated in a Curriculum Day with Ebony Birch-Hanger from Neuro Sensory Education, building on our previous learning about supporting students.
Staff explored ways to adjust learning environments and deepen their understanding of how children’s behaviour is connected to their neurosensory needs.
What this means for your child is that you may notice small changes in classrooms, routines and supports, helping students feel calm, engaged and ready to learn.
This professional learning strengthens our ongoing commitment to creating calm, inclusive and responsive learning environments for all students.
Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct
A reminder to all parents and guardians regarding expectations within our school community. At Sacred Heart Primary School, we value respectful relationships and a shared commitment to supporting the wellbeing of all students.
Families are asked to refrain from:
- Approaching a child who is not their own with a view to disciplining that child for their behaviour. Such matters are to be managed by school staff only.
- Approaching other school parents to resolve issues arising between students at school. Any concerns of this nature should be directed to school staff.
We encourage open communication and partnership. If any concerns arise, come and see me so we can work together to find a positive and respectful resolution.
Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a safe, respectful and positive environment for all at Sacred Heart Primary School.
Sacred Heart Little Learners Club
Starting This Monday – 27 April 2026
We are excited to welcome our youngest learners to Sacred Heart Little Learners Club, beginning this Monday from 9:00am to 10:00am.
Children who have had a school tour, are enrolled, or have siblings at Sacred Heart starting school in 2027 have been sent an email with details of this new initiative and an invitation to join us. Each session will include opportunities for play, a short, engaging group experience, and time to become familiar with our school environment. Madeleine Whitty, our Foundation teacher (Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays), will be the teacher for these sessions, helping children build confidence and develop positive friendships.
If you have a child aged 3 to 5 years, or know a family who might be interested, we would love for you to join us. These sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for children to explore, play and become familiar with the school, while developing a sense of belonging.
Our Little Learners program is designed to be relaxed, engaging and fun, supporting early social development and a smooth transition into school.
