Harmony Week

Harmony Day is a day to celebrate all the different cultures that are a part of Australia. It is also an opportunity to pay tribute to the original inhabitants of the country, the Indigenous Australians. Our school celebrates inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

The 2025 theme is 'Harmony- we all have a role to play!'

Wearing orange helps to signify social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect amongst everyone.

At St. Anthony’s on Tuesday the 18th March 2025 - Week 8 -  all the students will celebrate and acknowledge Harmony Day.

The students are encouraged to wear orange or their traditional cultural dress to school on this day.

We will be having activities during the day for the students to participate in. The SRC representatives have been working hard in collaboration with the different classes to organise and plan the activities. We will all eat our own lunch together on The Green as a whole school.

The students will be lucky enough to have an ice cream on the day from the Ormond Ice Creamery van that has been organised by the PFA.

We are looking forward to celebrating this special day with the students to understand the importance of the role each and every one of us play in being able to get along with everyone.
