Awards
Our students were presented with awards for their participation in the Victorian High Abilities Program.
It is important that students are challenged to stretch their thinking and develop skills for independent learning.
Well done to all students involved and thank to our Library Team and Literacy Leader for facilitating the program delivery. We have some exciting extension experience booked in later in the term for VHAP students.
The Summit Primary Camp
What a way to finish camp!
Our Bayside students took on the legendary Monster Course- with plenty of mud, laughter, teamwork and some very tough obstacles!
After their first lap, students reflected on resilience and what it means to keep going when things get hard. They then headed back for Lap Two with a challenge: it wasn’t about being the fastest, but about improving and supporting one another. It was fantastic to see them put this into action and encourage their teammates every step of the way.
The final day was also a chance to reflect on gratitude, celebrating the people, experiences and opportunities that made camp so memorable.
Across the three days, our students stepped outside their comfort zones, embraced new challenges, got very muddy and made plenty of memories along the way!
A big congratulations to our winning teams:
Snowy River Challenge: Lucky Charms
Scavenger Hunt: Team of Winners
Monster Course – Most Improved: Potato Joey’s
A special congratulations to our Values Winners Santiago, Reuben and Charlotte, who were recognised for their courage, teamwork and positive attitudes.
Thank you to our teachers Ms Diego, Ms Kim Wood, Mr Sutcliffe and Ms Thompson on a wonderful camp!
2026 AFL Grand Final
Well done to Grade 2 student Jonathan Hill, who participated in the 2026 AFL Grand Final, taking centre stage presenting medals to Brisbane Lions Premiership players and enjoying half-time activities. A wonderful opportunity for him and no doubt a memorable experience.
Thanks to Ms Coghlan for organising our Auskick clinics and promoting sporting engagement and talent development.
Big Night In
Last week our junior primary students recently gathered back at school after hours for our annual "Big Night In" As a stepping stone in our camps program, this special evening gives students a taste of camping life in a safe, familiar environment.
Throughout the evening, students participated in team-building activities and shared plenty of laughs with their peers. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to build confidence, foster independence, and practice being away from home during the evening. Most importantly, it has laid a wonderful foundation to prepare them for camp next year!
Thank you to our dedicated teachers and staff who made the evening a success.
Prep / 1 Big Breakfast
Our students arrived with big smiles on their faces and very healthy appetites, ready to enjoy a special morning together.
It was wonderful to see our students demonstrating our school values throughout the event, showing respect towards their teachers and peers.
We were so proud to see the independence our students displayed, from spreading their chosen toppings onto their toast to getting themselves changed into their school uniforms. These little moments showcased just how capable and confident our students are becoming.
After breakfast, students enjoyed a range of collaborative activities, where they played beautifully together, worked as a team and, most importantly, made sure everyone was included. It was lovely to see such kindness, cooperation and positive friendships in action.
It was such a wonderful event to be a part of, and we are incredibly proud of the way our Prep and Grade 1 students represented our school community. What a special morning filled with smiles, independence, friendship and fun!
