CERES in Brunswick East is running free holiday workshops during the term break for high schoolers with a passion for the environment and climate.
The day-long workshops - on September 24 and October 1 - are designed especially for students in junior and middle high school years. Teens will work hands-on with environmental experts and make connections with other climate-cluey teens.

The Darebin Falcons are looking for cricket-keen girls and teens to give the game a go this summer.
The club is having a come-and-try day at Capp Reserve in Preston on Saturday, September 19.
Girls who like the idea of joining a team where batting, bowling or catching or key are welcome to come along.

Melbourne University is running physics seminars in September for high schoolers interested in learning more about physics.
The next lecture is on Thursday, September 10 and will cover Quantum Mechanics. Ohm's law and Superconductivity will be the subject of a lecture on Thursday, September 17.
Both lectures are set to be held in the University's Hercus Theatre and will begin at 5,30pm.

Darebin Basketball school holiday camps are back for the September break. The camps are designed to improve players fundamental skills, decision-making and love of the game.
There are options for kids just starting their basketball journey as well as specialised skills camps for teens who play in weekly domestic comps or at reps level.

The myLearners Free Driving Lesson program offers a free 60-minute lesson with a professional driving instructor for learners aged 16–21 who have completed 10–50 hours of driving practice.
The lesson is taken alongside their supervising driver, helping both the learner and supervisor build safer, more confident driving habits together.
This program supports families by making the learning experience more positive and less stressful. It aims to reduce crash risks for young drivers, strengthen supervising skills, and encourage safer driving behaviours early on all at no cost to participants.

Summer Season registrations are now officially open for the Banyule Hawks.
The junior basketball club cater to all skill levels, providing a fantastic environment for kids to stay active, build teamwork, and make new friends.
There are teams for girls and boys from under 8 to under 21. Contact the club via the Banyule Hawks website for more.


The RMIT University Health Clinic is currently offering low-cost psychological assessments and support for children and adolescents, with no wait time for assessments.

Calling all Reservoir teenagers! The Rezza After-School Club has a new home at the Reservoir Library.
The club runs in the Level 1 Youth Space every Wednesday afternoon during school term time, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
Head there to find free after-school snacks and learning support or homework help from a qualified tutor. All students from Grade 6 to Year 10 are invited to join the fun.


Saints Church has started a new Friday night youth group for northern suburbs teens who want to explore their faith.
Saints Youth will run in Ivanhoe on the first Friday of every month from 6:30pm-8:30pm and is free to attend. The aim is to create a place where young people can explore faith, build genuine friendships and have a fun night filled with games, snacks, hangs and chats.
Everyone is welcome, whether they have been in church before or not.


The Parklands Netball Club is looking for new players to join their local competition.
Girls aged under 13, under 15 and under 17 are invited to come play for the club. Training is held on Friday nights at the Darebin Community Sports Stadium in Reservoir.

The Preston Cycling Club runs free, beginner friendly training sessions every Saturday morning for teens who want to try track cycing.
The club is based at the velodrome next to Reservoir aquatics centre. It has a number of junior members already and is looking for more new riders who are interested in being active, building confidence on a bike and making new friends.
