Principal's Report

Welcome Back

Term 4 has started well, with the weather being kind for the start of the term. We held an assembly on Monday morning and reminded students that they are the ones who can decide what kind of term they will have. It's up to them to choose their path, whether it be working towards improving a Progress Report or influencing their Semester 2 Report results. Perhapsl they be happy with learning lots, or spending time with their friends? Whichever path they choose to follow, they are the ones that can make it all happen.

Our Year 12 students, who have made it to nearly the end of 6 years of secondary education, will be finishing in just over a week. The mindset they chose to follow throughout their time at school will help them through these last few days of school. Whether they are planning to sit exams or not, go on to further education, or go to work; they are the only ones that can make it happen now, and we wish them all the best for the remainder of their schooling.

Building Works

Well done to Oztek Constructions P/L and Steele Roofing Constructions for their efficient work over the holidays. If you haven’t looked up at our buildings yet, make sure you look at the new fascias. They look so much better than the old, sometimes rotting green wood! Thanks to the team who completed the works before school returned and have extended the life of our buildings (and hopefully reduced further leaks!)

Child Safety Reminder

We are required to regularly remind our school community that all schools are child safe places; a safe place in both physical and online environments. We want all our students to feel safe and enjoy being at school. If your child shares information with you that they feel unsafe, please don’t hesitate to contact the Student Engagement Leaders (SEL) on their behalf, so we can support them. Years 7/8 Josh Davies, Years 9/10 Jenny Farrington and Years 11/12 Shantelle Stimson.
