Last Saturday night we were fortunate to be invited to Somerville House for dinner and to view Riverfire from a prime position. What an amazing spectacular it was. After a very busy term, we look forward to having socials with other boarding schools in Term 4.
Thank you to the parents who attended the Term 3 Friends of Boarding meeting on Tuesday evening. There was much discussion around the upcoming Boarding Parents and Carers Event Beyond Boarders on Saturday 18 October and boarding food. A meeting has been set up with our caterers and feedback will be communicated to all parents and carers post meeting.
Thank you also to Primary School teachers Mrs Patterson, Mrs San Miguel and Mrs O’Brien who visited boarding last night for dinner and a tour of our home. Dr G, is always a constant who visits us every Tuesday night to assist our Secondary students with Biology, Mrs Lennon on Monday night and Rev every Tuesday night, we appreciate your support of our boarders.
College Policies
All boarders will be home next week, and I kindly ask you to revisit the College Policies with your child/children while they are home. In particular, the Uniform Policy and Boarding Technology Policy.
Please reinforce the purpose policies are in place at Clayfield College with your child and why you signed them. We are together in our duty of keeping everyone safe, and in boarding, it is all about fairness and equity. There is a very small group who are defying expectations, and I thank our wonderful boarders who abide by the rules and policies in place.
End of Term
Another reminder to please advise us as soon as possible of end of term travel plans for your child if you have not to date.
Our last Prep will be this Thursday evening, with next week being all about end of term packing.
