Dear Families,

Welcome to Issue 17 of our iNewsletter! We hope this newsletter continues to keep you up to date with all the news, events and learning that happens at St Roch's.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Sincere thanks to all who contributed to this beautiful evening. It was so lovely for all candidates and their sponsors from our four Parishes to celebrate this Sacrament of Confirmation at St Patrick's Cathedral on Thursday evening. A first event at the cathedral for us and apt during this Year of the Jubilee.

We are grateful to Bishop Les and Father Gallacher for confirming the candidates and their deep and reverent words. We thank Father Tom and Monsignor Hall for concelebrating this service and thank all families and extended families that were present for our current and past students. It was so lovely to see them altogether.

Thank you to Louise Bolton for leading and all her work to ensure the evening went smoothly and was such a success.  We also thank Toni Allen and Jess Mount for for all the incredible work you put in to ensure the candidates were fully ready for their Confirmation, teaching and preparing them. Thank you also to Nadine Bolton for your support and attendance and to Carmel Rozario for supporting the preparations.

St Roch's Family Bush Dance & Talent Show

First, I want to extend a massive thank you to Jess Nichols and Charlotte Moore -  these incredible people for putting on an event of this scale takes countless hours of preparation, coordination, and dedication.

To everyone who helped organise, set up, manage the sound and lighting, supervise, and encourage the students—thank you. Your commitment to creating opportunities for our children to shine truly makes this school a special place. We simply couldn't have done this without your hard work and unwavering support. What an incredible event this was! As the curtains closed on our first Talent Quest, we were absolutely bursting with pride and excitement over the amazing show we all witnessed. Thank you to the amazing team of families at St Roch's!!

Thank you to our Fantastic MCs Toni Allen and Luke Nichols. Toni behind the scenes both you and Nadine have put in so much time and effort into ensuring this quest ran smoothly and Luke you completed the team! You kept the energy high, the transitions smooth, and the audience entertained with wit and charm. Thank you for being the wonderful, engaging hosts of our spectacular evening.

Thank you to all our incredible staff for their preparations and their presence. There are too many to mention but a special shout to Nicolle who fielded many questions and supported everyone in so many ways!!

We applaud our talented students, the true stars of the night. Particular thanks to Robyn Dhanjee, her spectacular voice and judging skills with Alex Keisler were appreciated. The courage you showed just getting up on that stage is commendable. Whether you were singing, dancing, playing an instrument, performing magic, or showing off any of your amazing skills, you gave it your all. The level of talent tonight was astounding. Every single performance was unique, entertaining, and showcased the passion you have for your art. You didn't just perform; you inspired us, you entertained us, and you reminded us all how wonderfully talented you are. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

The rest of the evening could not happen without the support of our current and past families. To all who managed the stalls, the games and the entertainment outside, thank you. A truly wonderful community.
