PBL RRRoch Stars - Congratulations!
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) - Week 4
Introducing our newest RRRoch Stars whose names were selected from the PBL Barrell at Assembly on Friday 10 October by our PBL leaders Kimmy and Maddie. These students have displayed one of our expected behaviours and were acknowledged for their efforts to build a positive school for all.
We would like to congratulate Patrick Reynolds from Year 3 for showing the expected behaviour of Respect.
We would like to congratulate Amelia Bawden from Year 4 for showing the expected behaviour of Responsibility.
We would like to congratulate Charlotte Strauss from Year 3 for showing the expected behaviour of Resilience.
Day for Daniel
On Friday we held Day for Daniel. This is Australia's largest child safety education and awareness day and is an annual event held on the last Friday of October. This special day honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe and reinforces the vital message that keeping kids safe is a responsibility we all share—parents, carers, educators, businesses…the entire community.
Students, staff and even some parents wore a 'touch of red' to support the incredible work of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
Students participated in a Day for Daniel circle led by the class SRC reps and completed activities helping them to reflect and identify the five trusted from their families and community.
Remembrance Day
We will acknowledge Remembrance Day on Tuesday 11 of November at 10.30am with a Remembrance day Liturgy in the Hall. All families are very welcome to join us. Poppies are for sale for $2.00 and wrist bands for $3.00 before and after school each day to support RSL Australia. Maddie and Kimmy, our Community Leaders, will be at the gates each day.
Each week our school follows a PBL Weekly Focus. This week, the focus of our PBL lessons will be teaching students to 'Consider Others' and next week the focus will be to 'Represent Your Class with Pride.'
The weekly PBL focus aims to keep our PBL framework on the agenda across the school to ensure consistent practices from Prep - Year 6 are in place. It also keeps the excitement of Gotcha Tickets, Class Rewards and Whole School Rewards alive!
We encourage discussions with our students around the expected behaviour for the week and endeavour to 'catch' the students who are following the expected behaviours by giving them the Gotcha Tickets when an expected behaviour is displayed.
Every Child, Everybody, Everyday.
