Book Week News

Term 3 is always exciting because there are so many fun and interesting celebration events being held. One particular favourite - especially at Scoresby PS - is Book Week. Book Week takes place this year from 17th-23rd August. As always, we have plenty of whole-school activities planned for everyone to get involved with and celebrate everything great about books and reading.

Here are some things we have planned; more details will be forwarded closer to the time.

• Scholastic Book Fair - our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be open for sales to the community on 19th, 20th and 21st August.
• CBCA 2024 Shortlisted Book Discovery - students will have many opportunities to discover some of the wonderful books that have been voted as the CBCA's 2024 Shortlisted Finalists, including lunchtime read-alouds by our senior students to the whole school.
• Whole-School Reading Time - all students will take part in a mass reading time, where they will have the chance to read a favourite book to a student from another grade or level.
• Book Week Dress-Up Day - a Book Week favourite, and the chance to show how creative you can be in dressing as a character from one of your favourite books.
