Cultural Celebration Day

The college is hosting a Cultural Diversity Day to showcase and celebrate the diverse community here at St Anne’s College on Tuesday 27 May.

On this day, students are invited to wear clothing that showcases their culture.

To ensure this day is respectful and can be enjoyed by all, students are to wear items that are significant to their own culture only. This is not an opportunity to dress in alternative cultural clothing. The college does not condone and will not tolerate the wearing of clothing of another culture to intentionally offend or make fun of a cultural group. The purpose of the Cultural Celebration Day is about respect for cultural diversity, and we look forward to seeing our students 'let their colours shine' in the spirit of sharing and inclusiveness.

We will gather as a whole school community at 11:35am for a special flag presentation ceremony. Parents are welcome to attend. We kindly ask that you sign in at the College reception.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is returning this Term for one day per week starting on Monday 12 May. Breakfast Club recognises many children and young people face challenges that prevent them from starting their day with breakfast and it is designed to ensure every student has the opportunity to enjoy breakfast in the morning. Research shows missing breakfast can lead to fatigue and difficulty concentrating, which often impacts learning and behaviour. Breakfast Club will be available to all students on Mondays from 8:30am – 8:50am. Students can access a toasty from the Community Lounge 2 windows (same area as canteen orders).
