Stage 6 Wagga Museum Excursion

Museum Of The Riverina
Stage 6 had an amazing day visiting the Museum of the Riverina in Wagga with our senior Aboriginal Studies students! We deepened our understanding of Aboriginal culture and history, which really helped wrap up what we’ve been learning and get everyone prepped for their trials and HSC. It was especially interesting to hear the connections to Narrandera, and that an Aboriginal axe head might soon be coming out to the Narrandera Museum—something for us all to look forward to!
After that, we enjoyed lunch downtown and took a relaxing walk around Wagga Beach. One of the highlights was sitting together in the yarning circle, having an open and honest chat about how the course is going, and collecting some valuable feedback on how I can better support everyone as we go forward.
And yes, despite being Year 11 and 12 students, the playground at Wagga Beach was just too tempting to resist… who says seniors can’t have a bit of fun on the swings? 😄 Here’s to blending learning, laughter, and a little bit of play!"
