MOE’S REPORT  26/05/2025

There are only a few days left with the Jenkins family. Thank you so much. I’ll miss you. But I’m also really looking forward to spending time with the next host family!

🏖️Visiting Somers & Their Caravan

A little while ago, we went to Somers to visit Lexi at the camp. She showed us some activities there, and the giant swing looked exciting! On the way back, we stopped by the caravan and took a walk on the beach. Catherine ordered a small icecream, but she got a large one. Maybe thanks to that lucky girl, we got to see stingrays and two pelicans swimming in the sunset!

🎶Jazz Night

We enjoyed Jazz Night at Norwood Secondary College. Hannah and her friends sang “You Can’t Stop the Beat”. The harmony was beautiful. The band and the solo singers also gave great performances. I found myself moving to the rhythm!

It was nice to listen to such wonderful music with my host family, including their grandparents, while enjoying delicious soup and cheese.

🎥Watching TV Shows and Movies

They recommended some great TV shows and movies to me.

[Bluey] It’s so funny. As soon as the opening starts, Lexi and Catherine start dancing. They are sweet!

[Idol] I always enjoy the performances. I downloaded the playlist and sometimes listen to it.

[The Croods] It’s a great movie about family and courage. I like the characters’ creative ideas.

[Home] It’s a touching story about friendship. Rihanna’s songs made the movie special

🍔Delicious Homemade Meals

Michael and Krystal are great cooks! Thank you for the delicious meals.

The burger pattie is actually handmade by Michael. It’s thick and goes perfectly with pineapple.

Krystal’s pomegranate salad is one of my favorites. I heard it takes a lot of work to get the seeds out,  but I love the popping texture and sour taste.

🚶‍♀️‍➡️Exploring the City

I went out to Melbourne CBD by myself. I successfully rode the bus and tram.

I visited Flinders Street Station, the State Library, Queen Victoria Market, and several places. It was amazing to see in real life what I had only seen on a screen before!

There are many other places I want to visit, so I will save them for next time.
