School Wide Positive Behaviour Support
Our focuses for weeks 6 to 8 are as follows:
During week 5 our SWPBS focus was “I will keep trying if I find the work challenging.”
We are half way through term 1 and we are incredibly proud of the positive attitudes and the way Special Education students are embracing new challenges.
Here are 3 of our students that received certificates for week 5 - congratulations to everyone!
During week 6 our Special Education Primary students had a great week in the yard. They included other students in games, used kind words, and made safe choices while playing.
Special Education Secondary students continue to excel at using respectful language when speaking with each other and with staff, both inside and outside the classroom.
Orange Room Report
This term in our classroom, we’ve spent the past few weeks really getting to know one another and building our classroom community.
As part of our Inquiry unit, ‘My Personal History,’ students have been sharing personal stories, including where they were born, when they took their first steps, their first words, and other important events in their lives.
It has been wonderful to see everyone listening, learning about each other, and reflecting on their own experiences. Our classroom has become a supportive space where students feel comfortable sharing and exploring their personal histories, and learning from one another.

Purple Room Report
This term Purple Room have been learning about 'Life Cycles' and 'What is a Law'. They have enjoyed growing sprouts and some of us tasted them. The radish ones were hot and spicy and we spat them out. The alfalfa ones were yummy!
We were able to talk about what a law was and most of us can relate it to a rule that helps to keep us safe. We also enjoyed having a kick to kick when the Carlton AFL players visited.
