Grade 3  | Blackwood

This term our History unit has been The Age of Exploration and Discovery. We’ve discovered the reasons why sea exploration began and the impact these journeys had. We’ve focused on famous explorer Captain James Cook and his voyage to discovering ‘Botany Bay’ on the Endeavour. Our History unit incorporated an art activity where we completed a guided drawing of the HMS Endeavour using charcoal. Look at our fantastic tall ships. 

The community of John Paul II acknowledges the Moomairemener people, the Traditional Owners who have walked upon and cared for this land for thousands of years.  We acknowledge the continued deep spiritual attachment and relationship of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to this country and commit ourselves to the ongoing journey of Reconciliation.
