Pony Club Victoria Trainee & Qualified Coaches, Club Administrators, Club Officials, & members are invited to attend the activities hosted throughout the West Gippsland Zone Coach Development & Assessment Weekend of MAY 30-31st, 2026 at Warragul Pony Club!

The event details are:

Saturday 30th May: Coaching & Development Activities (for both PCA/PCV Trainee & qualified Coaches)

Gates open 8.00am, registration from 8.30am, day starts 9.00am sharp, we will break for morning tea (10.30am), lunch (12.30pm) your ticket options for Saturday are:

Mindset - Presented by Tanja Mitton (9.00am - 12.00noon)
Rider Position - Presented by Tanja Mitton (1.30pm - 5.30pm)
Coaching All Abilities Riders - Presented by Sally Francis (9.30-11.30am)
Preparation for Sunday Assessment (for the Trainee Coach being assessed on Sunday ONLY, one-hour, individual booking)

Sunday 31st May: We have some activities for Club Administrators, Club Officials, Parents, Members & Trainee Coaches too

Gates open from 8.00am, registration is from 8.30am, day starts 9.00am with gear check, we will break for morning tea (10.00am), lunch (12.30pm) and ticket options for Sunday being:

Effective Club Governance - Presented by Suanne Waugh, Pony Club Australia, Integrity Manager (9.00am - 10.00am)
Safe Guarding - Presented by Suanne Waugh, Pony Club Australia, Integrity Manager (10.30am - 11.30am)
Trainee Foundation Coach Assessment
Trainee Preliminary Coach Assessment
Trainee Level 1 Coach Assessment

ALL Trainee Coaches, please note:

To assist us in timetabling the day, please purchase the assessment ticket relevant to the Coach Course you are enrolled into
The opportunity to book an assessment will close Friday 15th May 12.00 NOON.
Your workbook MUST be submitted by Friday 8th May (or earlier) to email coaching@ponyclubvic.org.au so we ensure marking is completed BEFORE the assessment.

Tickets to participate in ALL non-assessment activities for Saturday & Sunday will CLOSE Wednesday 27th May.

Your Chief Instructor for the weekend is: Paul Seuren (Chief Instructor for West Gippsland Zone)

Demo riders are required for both Saturday (Coaching All Abilities & Preparation for Assessment) and Sunday (Coach Assessments).
