National Simultaneous Storytime is a fun, nationwide reading event for children.

At the same time on the same day, children all across Australia - at schools, libraries, and childcare centres - listen to the same picture book being read aloud.

It’s a way to:

  • Celebrate reading and storytelling
  • Help children develop a love of books
  • Create a shared experience where kids feel connected to others around the country
  • It’s simple, joyful, and all about showing children that reading can be fun and exciting.

The 2026 book is  'Luna Roo, the Kangaroo Baller'.

On Wednesday 27th May we are asking students to come dressed as their sporting hero or in a sports uniform. Please make sure that the clothing is appropriate to the weather conditions & learning activities.Looking forward to celebrating all things reading.
