Principal's News

Dear Families & Friends,
It has been an amazing past couple of weeks at Trinity with several highlights including our Mother's Day celebrations, Careers Day activities and of course all the usual classroom activities each day. As I mentioned to the children at our Friday assembly, none of these things happen by magic and each one requires many people working together to make them happen. I thank all those parents, staff and children who contributed their ideas and energy to work together for the benefit of our school community.
Mother's Day Celebrations
With the challenge of limited space and unpredictable weather this year, we still managed to have a wonderful Mother's Day breakfast. Thanks again for the hot coffee and tea provided by Jason and the HOWZIT coffee cart, not to mention some delicious treats thanks to Ms Helen. Of course the company and conversation is what really mattered and there was certainly plenty of that. Thankyou also to our Parents & Friends and other volunteers who planned and prepared a fantastic Mother's Day stall for our children. I'm sure seeing this would have brought back memories for many of us of our own school days and that exciting feeling of buying our mums something special from the school stall.
Uniform Shop Move
You may have noticed some posters around the school and a recent Parent Portal Post that our school uniform is now available from the Bob Stewart Store in Kew. Nothing changes for us other than the location which I hope will be much more convenient for our parents.
Dogs off leash
We do love all our Trinity family dogs and they definately bring a smile to many children's faces as they are greeted by them at our Kent Street gate, however, there are a few people who are little bit nervous if a dog is left off the leash or not tied up at drop off and pick up. If we could all please make sure that all dogs are either held on a leash or securely tied to the fence that would be greatly appreciated.
Careers Day Presentations
As those of you who were able to stay for our careers day dress up parade would have seen, it was a fantastic day enjoyed by all. Thankyou for the great effort made by our parents to have children dressed up. There was such a great variety of careers on display, Doctors and Nurses, Police Officers, Firefighters, CEOs, Lawyers, Builders, Sports Professionals and so many more. The day was capped off with a number of captivating presentations from our parents who dropped in to share their stories about their own careers and answer fascinating questions from our children. So gresat to know we have such talented and dedicated parents in our community.
P&F Fundraisers.
As I am sure you are all aware, our P&F have been busy of late planning and delivering a number of Fund Raising efforts. Whilst not all their activities are aimed completely at fundraising this is of course a very important part of their work. The recent funds raised which were in excess of $3000 will be put towards some much needed maths resources for children in all year levels. My sincere thanks to the work and generosity of our parent community. Our P&F comittee meets regularly throughout the year to plan these activities and events. We know that not all parents are able to give their time for these regular meetings but we greatly appreciate your efforts to help out when you can in different ways.
