'Write a list of things that make you feel alive.'
This week, our Year 4 students and Year 6 Social Justice Leaders were fortunate to welcome Judith and Talya from Mini Vinnies to speak about the important work of the organisation. Students learnt about the history of Mini Vinnies, the values that guide their work, and the many ways they support people in need within the community.
The session prompted many thoughtful questions from our students, who showed great curiosity and compassion throughout the presentation. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm for social justice and helping others.
Miss Helen will be sending out Expressions of Interest next week for students wishing to be involved in establishing a Mini Vinnies team at our school.

This week we celebrated Careers Week, and it was filled with many exciting activities. From our “When I Grow Up” dress-up parade to learning and writing about different jobs in class, students had lots of opportunities to explore future careers.
We were also very lucky to have some amazing parents visit our school to talk about their jobs and share their experiences with us. Thanks to Georgia Blackie, Luke Martin, Romina DÁmico, Leonie Fuller and Elinor Colaso for your engaging and inspiring presentations. A big thank you as well to the staff members who volunteered to be interviewed and helped make the week so interesting and enjoyable.
We hope everyone had fun learning about the many different pathways and opportunities for the future!
