Why should you become an Altar Server ?

Hi my name is Katie, I am in Grade 5 and I am a St Andrew’s Altar Server.  I think you should become an Altar Server because you can build more confidence, you can have more time with God and it will help you build respect, responsibility and resilience.

Firstly, if you become an altar server you can build more confidence, so in the future you can be a leader in life if that is something you would like to do. If you are confident it creates more opportunities. Confidence helps you to grow into a responsible person, giving you courage to take on challenging things.

Secondly, you can spend more time with God when you are altar serving, your faith grows stronger. Faith improves social wellbeing and  makes you feel connected to the community. God will always help you when you are in a time of need and he will protect you. 

Finally, it will help you build respect, responsibility and resilience. It is a lot of fun being an Altar Server. Being an Altar Server makes you feel valued and special because you are doing an important job and helping Father and God. 

In conclusion, being an altar server is an honour and it makes you feel special and valued. God will appreciate your commitment to supporting Father and the church community. Altar Serving is so much fun! You get to make new friends. I hope I see you soon at the altar.
