Grade 5/6H

The students in 5/6H explored the theme of individuality and togetherness through a creative art activity, designing their own unique birds. They thoughtfully chose colours, features, and styles that reflected their personalities and ideas, resulting in a vibrant and diverse collection. While each bird is distinct, together they form a cohesive display that celebrates how our differences make our community stronger and more connected. 

Beautiful work 5/6H!

In Literacy the Grade 5's have been enjoying the novel Black Cockatoo. They have been building their reading fluency, practising reading aloud with confidence, expression, and accurate pacing. It has been wonderful to see their engagement with the story grow each week! Alongside this, students have been working hard on their comprehension skills, answering questions and using quotes from the text to support their thinking. They are becoming more confident in explaining their ideas and showing a deeper understanding of the characters and themes arising from the text!
