P&F

Can you believe that Spring is here, which means we are finished with Term 3 and heading towards the end of the year. The Seniors are doing practice exams over the holidays in preparation for their finals, but I hope everyone can make a little time to take a breathe over the break.

Term 3 Recap

Movie Night

Term 3 started with the Movie Night. Circumstances changed things around a little but we had 20 see the new Smurfs movie. Rather small interest for the Senior movie once again so we will be revisiting what can be changed here.

Freaky Friday Candy Bar

The Candy Bar ran at intermission of the Freaky Friday production. Over 3 20 minute sessions we sold 192 donuts, 144 cookies, 120 bags of chips, 25 cheese and crackers and 100s of lolly bags. Thank you to all that supported this fundraiser.

Fathers Day Brekkie BBQ

Our Junior school Fathers Day brekkie ran again this year and it was great to see so many Dads there enjoying a brekkie roll with their kids. We raised $675 which the Junior School Council will donate to charity. They are choosing the charity at their next meeting in Term 4.

Footy Finals Pie Drive

We also teamed up with the Emerald Village Bakery again to bring you our Pie Drive. Just waiting on final numbers but it looks like we raised about $500.

Donations

While the funds raised from Mothers and Fathers Day are donated to charities by the JSC, all other funds we raise are put back into the school in ways to help our kids. This year we allocated $1200 of funds raised to build a new sandpit for the preps – 1. We also gave $300 for new toys to be purchased for the new Year 2-6 sandpit. We will keep you updated when we allocate more.

You can keep up to date with all the P&F goings on by visiting the schools webpage: Huntingtower - Parents & Friends or you can also add the P&F icon to your groups on HT Connect.

Stay safe and we will see you all soon
