Term 2
Welcome back to our students, staff and community members for Term 2. Although this is a longer term of 11 weeks, there are many exciting things that are being planned!!
ANZAC Day At Watsonia RSL
Our Concord School Captains, Vice Captains and Upper Primary Leader represented our community at the Watsonia RSL, ANZAC Day service. The students lay a wreath to remember those who have lost their lives serving Australia in wars.
Lest We Forget.
Bunnings Donations
We are extremely grateful to Bunnings Thomastown who have donated $250 worth of plants to rejuvenate our garden beds. Within the donations are a number of fruit trees and a passionfruit vine, and we plan to create an ‘edible garden’ to honour our much loved and respected staff member, Jane Stacey. Jane’s passion for the outdoors, nature and healthy eating always shone through, especially throughout her time as Food Tech teacher. Our students and staff are looking forward to caring for these garden beds.
ES Day – Friday 16th May
Education Support (ES) staff, professionals such as teaching assistants, the administration team, allied health and wellbeing staff, our café manager and the IT and maintenance crew, all play a crucial role in ensuring quality education and a safe learning environment.
Education Support Day is celebrated annually on May 16th to recognise the vital contribution to education that these staff members make. Concord School is looking forward to acknowledging our incredible ES staff members next week.
