Education Week
This year, Education Week runs from Monday 12th May to Friday 16th May. The theme, Celebration of Cultures, highlights the diversity of our communities and the importance of every child feeling safe and welcome at school. To celebrate:
Bundoora campus will be holding an Open Morning on Tuesday 13th May from 9.30:am to 10:30am, where students will showcase the wonderful learning that they do each and every day. Parents, carers, grandparents and special friends are invited to visit their child’s classroom, participate in classroom activities, and bring along a morning snack to enjoy together in their classrooms. All visitors are to come to the Bundoora Office area and will be directed to the appropriate section.
Please reach out to Flora Nixon if you have any questions.
Watsonia campus will be celebrating Education Week early with a combination of Special Persons afternoon/Mother’s day this Friday 9th May from 1:30pm – 2:30pm. Please enter Watsonia Office and enjoy an afternoon in your child’s classroom.
If you have any questions please reach out to Kath Moore.
We look forward to welcoming the community into our classrooms to celebrate the great work the students and staff do each day!
Concord School on Show
On Saturday Eleanor, Ka Ying & Renae from our Secondary 9/10 section presented at Sharing Best Practice! The team shared with other educators from across the state about how they tailor their planning and teaching practices to cater for all students’ abilities.
Thank you, Ka Ying, Eleanor & Renae - the session was a huge success!!
7/8 Camp
Last week our 7/8 students and staff went to Toolangi Camp. It was a huge success with lots of memories made for all!
Whilst on camp the students participated in many adventure activities from the Flying Fox and Possum Glider. Students and staff also put their problem-solving skills to practise whilst building a hut and attempting Archery. At nights there was an open fire and dancing at the Disco.
Thank you to Rachel and the 7/8 team for organising such a successful camp 😊
Take care,
