Book Week Science

Mrs Steele (aka The Trunchbull) decided it was time to make a mess, so we read some facts out of "Ewww Gross - Foul Facts and Putrid Pictures by Dan Marshall.

Did you know that 90% of people in the world pick their nose? And that a whale does about 974 litres of wee into the ocean each day? AND the most expensive coffee in the world is made from cat poo?

Then we made snot. Snot plays a very important role in our lives, protecting us from dust and pollutants, as well as keeping our breathing organs moist and warm.

Look at the beautiful snotty snot we made:

We also mummified some fruit, so keep your eyes/nose open for them at home. They need to be left for a week, have their salt and bag changed, and then left for another two weeks. Just the kind of household decoration everyone wants!
