Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Beginning Our Lenten Journey

On Wednesday 18th, the Sacred Heart children, staff and some of our families gathered at church with Father Aloysius to celebrate Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the season of Lent. The children were so well-behaved, and it was a meaningful opportunity for us to come together in prayer and reflection as we received ashes and were reminded to “turn our hearts back to God.” This special liturgy encouraged us to pause, reflect, and consider how we can grow in kindness, compassion, forgiveness and love throughout the coming weeks.

Loving God,

We thank You for bringing together the children, staff and families of Sacred Heart.

As we begin our Lenten journey, help us to open our hearts to Your love and guidance.

Teach us to be kind, patient and forgiving, and to care for one another with compassion.

May our words and actions reflect Your peace each day.

Bless our children, staff and families, and walk with us always.

Our Sacred Heart Team – 2026

We are delighted to share our staffing for 2026 and are proud of the caring and committed team at Sacred Heart Primary School. Our new staff have settled in beautifully and are already valued members of our Sacred Heart family.

We warmly welcome them and look forward to the wonderful contributions they will make to our children’s learning and wellbeing.

A special thank you to Kate for creating the beautiful staff poster displays, helping our children and families become familiar with the adults who support them each day.

Reminder of Upcoming Events

Sunday 20th February – 10:30 am Mass & Morning Tea

All families are invited to Mass at 10:30 am, followed by coffee and tea in the school multipurpose room. If you can help serve, please let us know.

Parents & Friends Morning Tea – Tuesday 24th February

We warmly invite all Sacred Heart families, especially our new families, to our first Morning Tea for 2026. It will be a lovely opportunity to enjoy a cuppa, have a chat, and connect with other families and staff in our welcoming school community.

Beginning of Year Mass & Gathering – Tuesday 25th February, 6:00 pm

All children, families, and staff are invited to attend the Sacred Heart beginning of the year Mass at Sacred Heart Church, followed by a gathering to celebrate the start of the school year.
