Principal's update

– Katie Klajnblat, Acting Principal

Welcome back to all our students and families for what promises to be a busy and exciting Term 4! I hope everyone enjoyed a restful break and is returning to school feeling refreshed, re-energised and ready for the final term of the year.

Term 4 is always a special time in the school calendar, filled with opportunities for learning, growth, celebration and reflection on all that we have achieved throughout the year. As we settle back into our routines, I encourage students to approach the term with enthusiasm, kindness and a commitment to doing their best each day.

Road safety around our school

As we return to our busy school routines, I would like to remind all families of the importance of road safety around our school. With increased traffic and pedestrian activity during drop-off and pick-up times, it is essential that we all remain alert, patient and considerate of others.

Parents and carers, please take extra care when driving near the school, observe all parking restrictions and speed limits, and use designated drop-off and pick-up areas where available. Please avoid stopping in unsafe locations or blocking driveways, crossings and the movement of other vehicles. Allowing a little extra time in the morning and afternoon can make a big difference to everyone's safety.

Students, please remember to use designated crossings, follow the directions of crossing supervisors, stop and look before crossing roads, and remain aware of your surroundings. Avoid distractions when walking near traffic, and always wait until it is safe to cross. If riding a bike or scooter, remember to wear a helmet and follow the road rules.

Road safety is a shared responsibility, and by working together, we can help ensure every child arrives at and leaves school safely each day. Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.

Using the soccer pitch after school

Just finally, we love seeing students enjoying the school grounds after hours. Please remember that TeamKids has priority use of the junior soccer pitch and surrounding areas from 3:30–6:15pm. They also have priority access to the gym basketball court until 5pm.

We ask all students to be respectful when using the grounds and toilet facilities, and to ensure bikes are used safely and considerately. Thank you for helping keep our grounds safe and welcoming for everyone.
