SunSmart policy - hats required again
As the weather is warming up and the UV is increasing, students are required to wear hats again. Please remind your child/ren to pack their hat in their bag and wear it while outside. We have a No hat - no play rule at PMPS, so students will need to enjoy some relaxing time in the shade if they don't have a hat at school.
First Aid update
School sores (impetigo) are a common and highly contagious bacterial skin infection in children. They often appear as itchy blisters or sores that burst and develop yellow or honey-coloured crusts, usually around the nose and mouth, or on the arms and legs.
If you suspect your child has school sores, please consult your GP, as antibiotic treatment is usually needed. In Victoria, children must stay home until appropriate antibiotic treatment has commenced. For more information, please read the Royal Children’s Hospital fact sheet on impetigo (school sores).
Student free days
Our final staff planning and report writing days are in Term 4. Students are not required to attend school on the following days:
- Monday 2 November 2026
- Monday 30 November 2026
You can book into the TeamKids vacation care program on these days.
