Upcoming Exams and Year 10 Work Experience

As we move into the middle of Term 2, students across Years 10 and 11 are preparing for a busy and important period of learning, Semester One Examinations. These upcoming examinations provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding, consolidate their knowledge, and reflect on the progress they have made throughout the semester so that they may learn from these experiences in the lead up to their Year 12 VCAA examinations. We encourage all students to begin their preparation early by developing a study schedule, reviewing class materials, seeking support from their teachers when required, and maintaining healthy routines that support learning and wellbeing. Effective preparation not only improves academic outcomes but also helps students build valuable skills in organisation, time management, and resilience. 

Following the exams, our Year 10 students will be participating in their Work Experience placements. This program is a significant milestone in their educational journey, providing valuable exposure to workplace environments and helping students explore potential career pathways. Work Experience allows students to develop important employability skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, initiative, and professionalism. It also offers an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of workplace expectations and the diverse range of careers available within our community. 

We extend our sincere thanks to the many employers, organisations, families, and community members who support our students by providing Work Experience opportunities. Their generosity and commitment play a vital role in helping students make informed decisions about their future pathways. 

We wish all students the very best for their upcoming examinations and look forward to hearing about the valuable experiences and insights gained by our Year 10 students during their placements.
